How I did it: Ok, I went on his website and saw he was going to have a book signing for his new book, "You Better Not Cry" at SCAD which is 5 hrs from where I live. I asked my mom for my birthday if I could go, she said yes.
The reading itself was amazing. The chapters he read where so funny and then they did questions and he shared all this cool stuff from his life. Seeing someone you idolize in person and talking to them was also a plus.
Lessons & tips: I brought my beat up old paperbacks to get signed *but* I saw this girl who had, all ,of his books, brand new, hardback. Next time I go to see him, whenever he writes another book I'm going to do that. It's worth it. Remember John Updike?
