How to camp at chaco canyon
"Chaco's amazing; the nature, the history... you can really feel why it would be a special place to the inhabitants. Just amazing."
How I did it: Packed up a lot of warm clothes and blankets, and headed out there! Went up on a Friday in March and there were very few campers. Friday during the day we wore short sleeves, but the night was clear and cold, Saturday night it snowed. So, the solitude was worth it but make sure you're prepared for weather.
Lessons & tips: It gets crowded in the summer, try to plan ahead or go when it's less likely to be packed. Also, bring any stargazing stuff you have, the sky is beautiful! And, drink lots of water.
