Dear 43 Things Users,

10 years after introducing 43 Things to the world, we have decided we have met our last goal: completing the incredible experience that has been 43 Things. Please join us in giving one last cheer to all the folks who have shared their goals with the world, as well as all the people who have worked at The Robot Co-op to build this incredible website. We won a Webby Award, published a book, and brought happiness to a lot of people.

Starting today, 43 Things users can export their goals and entries from the site. Starting August 15, we will make the site “read only”. 43 Things users will still be able to view the site and export their content, but we won’t be taking any new content from users. We hope to leave the site up for folks to see and download their content until the end of the year. Ending on New Year’s Eve takes us full circle.

It has been a long ride (one of our original goals was to "build a company that lasts at least 2 years” - we beat that one!) While we wish the site could live on, it has suffered from a number of challenges - changes in how people use the site, the advertising industry, and how search engines view the site. We wish the outcome was different – but we’ve always been realistic about when our goals are met and when they aren't.

As of today, you will be able to download your goals and entries. See more about that on the FAQ page. Thanks for 10 great years of goal-setting and achieving.

How to pass the CPA exam

kscpa CPAARMY.COM Check it out

Awesome I am so glad you are a CPA. You are one of the people that kept me going when times were rough. I just found out I have to take BEC and AUD over again now. I didn’t passBEC so I lost AUD credit. I have passed AUD twice, BEC twice, REG twice, and FAR once but keep losing the damn credits due to the 18 month window. I will not give up and I am determined to join you this year as a CPA.

robaccount I'm FINISHED..CPA!!

Oh crap, that sucks.

So sorry to hear that. You obviously know the material…probably better than the folks who make the test. I wish there was something to say or do to make this better immediately. It’s March 19, so you can retake BEC in 2 weeks and then retake AUD soon after. Persistence is what got you this far, so keep up the good fight and you WILL be done in 2010.
BEC is just ugly. I wouldn’t know what to tell you…a lot of it is luck of the draw. I can tell you that I passed AUD on my first try by using Roger Phillips. I had no experience or background and his lecture/book taught me well. I used the M/Cs from Becker. But I’m guessing you have a really good grasp of AUD since you’ve already passed it twice.
Good luck buddy, you will get this. Just think, 10 weeks from now you could realistically be done testing and just waiting for your passing score(s). 10 weeks is nothing.

SecondTime BEC: 84 losing credti in Nov FAR: retest 11/29

I lost BEC, AUD and REG because I did not pass FAR in time.

I feel your pain. The 18 month rule is BRUTAL. I’m now back to zero. Took time off but now I’m back.

Doing BEC first then I’m doing FAR.

Susonis Finally done!!!!!!!!!

I am so happy for you. Congratulations!!!

Sandra909 Finally finished CPA exam

Hey…congrats! I hope I have CPA exam success as you did. My audit grade is due to expire in August 2010 and I failed FAR with a 73. I do not know if I can pass three parts by 8/31 but I am hopeful.

robaccount I'm FINISHED..CPA!!

sure you can

If you take/pass FAR in early April you can then take another exam at the very end of May. Then you have July/August to pass the last exam and/or retake something you didn’t pass. I think you can do this if you stay focused. Feel free to email me at if you have questions.

Sandra909 Finally finished CPA exam

Thats sort of my plan, but I don’t know if I can do it so I’m getting discouraged. All i want is for this exam to be finito already….draining!

Sandra909 Finally finished CPA exam

Grades posted tonight…..passed FAR!!! OMG so happy!

robaccount I'm FINISHED..CPA!!

Wow, incredible

The die has been cast, you WILL get thru this before your deadline. FAR is the biggest and most difficult (in my opinion). If you can keep that same intensity and focus for your remaining 2 parts you could actually be done by the end of May and have one entire testing window to spare. So you have AUD and FAR behind you and BEC and REG to go. No problem. What materials are you using? If you can, you might want to figure out a schedule that will allow you to take both BEC & REG by the end of May….that will give you one more testing window just in case you get a 74 on one of them. CONGRATS…FAR is a very big win!!!

willbcpa All DONE with the help of Christ who gave me strength!!

Congrats!!! I’m sure you’re really happy that the long journey is ended. I passed BEC and REG and just found out that my score for AUD is 74… I’m planning to retake it in 2-3 weeks. When you had to retake some parts did you reread the whole book? (I’m using Becker) I know AUD is mostly memorizing. Should I just focus on doing MC’s? What was your strategy on passing AUD? Thanks!!

ToriP23 is Took Audit for Second Time..want to shoot myself! lol!

Failed Aud too

I just found out this morning I failed Aud. (posted it March 24, but I just noticed it). I don’t know what I should do as far as studying goes. This was my first one, but now I’m totally depressed and discouraged.

Sandra909 Finally finished CPA exam

Don’t be depressed or discouraged….this exam takes dedication and memorization of a lot of things. Dedicate yourself and you will see results. Go through tons of Multiple choice questions, practice exams and you will drill the info in your head. I took Audit first as well and failed the first time bc I didn’t know the right way to study. I passed on my second try only because I secluded myself for a month. Give it another shot!
