How I did it: I felt insecure of myself one day. I felt so terrible that I skipped class. I went straight to a hair salon to get a hair cut. I showed the lady a picture of the haircut I wanted and asked her if it would look good with my face shape. She gave me a very similar look but changed it a bit to make it look better with my face. I loved it. To my surprised, the cost was a lot less than I thought and my haircut was perfect.

Lessons & tips: Observe your face shape. Read information and look up picture of hairstyles that may look good with it. When you've finally decided, take the picture to the hair salon and ask for suggestions or if it would look good. It helps to ask and reassure yourself otherwise, they'll simply give you the haircut without giving their opinion.
 
Don't go somewhere cheap. By cheap, I mean those places where the salon is located in their very own home. Spend a bit extra on yourself, because even if hair grows, you will have to spend a great amount of time with it.
