How to go skydiving
How I did it: I had been wavering on doing it for years and always used the excuse of being too expensive to do it to get me out of it. Then the opportunity arrived where I could go with no cost to me so suddenly I had to completely make up my mind. I decided I needed to do it in order to prove several things to myself. So I went with my group, I was first up, and first out. It was surprisingly easy to walk out of the plane into thin air - kind of surreal. The second we started falling, I was terrified for about a second and then started laughing. I laughed and smiled the rest of the way down and the rest of the day. I cannot describe how awesome, exhilarating, and memorable it is. You truly have to experience it for yourself.
Lessons & tips: Don't be scared of jumping out of the plane - it's easier than you think it will be. I was freaked out more by the Cessna we flew up in.
Scream or laugh as you free fall. You will be so overstimulated that you need to let a bit of it out.
Most important: Do what the the instructor you are tandem diving with says. They have hundreds, if not thousands, of jumps under their belts so they know what you need to do in order to get to the ground safely.
