How I did it: I moved out on my own recently, and have been cooking for my boyfriend and I. he's not vegetarian, but the recipes we've been cooking together have been so yummy he hasn't complained once! Find some foods you like. I wouldn't be too concerned with trying to find recipes that mimic meat, because there are just so many tasty vegetables fruits and grains out there anyway. Just find something you like and go for it! It's so much fun, i've even started my own cookbook. The entries include apple pie, fried eggplant, roasted zucchini, and bean and potatoe veggie burgers!
