How to be organized
"Living simply and being organized - the perfect combination!"
How I did it: I started getting rid of stuff that I didn't need. If I hadn't used the item in the last month, I got rid of it. If I was keeping it because "I might need this one day", I got rid of it.
The more I did it, the more I wanted to do it! The feeling of freedom you feel is addicting! The last things to go were my books and the little knick-knacks I'd been keeping. After 2 years, I whittled away at my belongings until I had only the essentials. Everything I own fits into two suitcases, and I feel free as a bird!
Lessons & tips:
- Don't keep anything you don't use regularly.
- Don't keep anything because you "might need it someday"
- Once you have only the essentials, organization is a breeze!
