How to move to philadelphia
How I did it: It took awhile for me to find a job (and later to find suitable housing) but it was definitely worth it. I wouldn't listen to all of what people say about certain parts of Philly. You have to visit to really know what a neighborhood is like. Mostly its a block by block change so while somewhere might have the reputation of being high crime its usually not every street in that neighborhood. I'm willing to answer any questions and help find apartments/jobs for anyone!
Lessons & tips: Don't move anywhere where you have to pay for special stickers so you can park in front of your own house (near center city, graduate hospital). Also its useful to live near the Market Frankford El or the Broad Street Line so you can take trips to learn the city without getting turned around.
Also learn east, west, north, and south. Number streets run north and south. Broad is where 14th street should be.
