How I did it: I got a job at a local cafe, still living with my mum, I have no bills to pay or mouths to feed, so I get to keep my wages, even the taxman doesn't get his share. The only money I've spent is £100 which I lent to someone (and am still awaiting repayment), and the occassional treat for myself.

Before buying something, I think to myself, 'do i really need this?' the answer is mostly no. Yes, that top might look nice, but I have a million other tops which I can wear, and this new top won't fullfill my life.
