How to learn to make jewelry
How I did it: My mum got me a kit for my birthday and I made a simple bracelet with a toggle clasp and crush beads, but I'm impatient, so I bought a lot of those eye pins and crystal beads and made, of all things, a rosary. Its kind of uneven and it took me two days working for two hours at a time in three or four segments, but the end result is so pretty.
Lessons & tips: have the right tools, absolutely. I hurt my fingers because I lost my dental pliers, and start with cheap materials. I broke a few crystals with my round pliers because I wasn't sure what I was doing at first. Also, Google is your friend!
Resources: Michaels craft store, walmart (has a decent jewelry-making section if you need the basics), round pliers , wire cutters (get the jewelry-sized ones), sterling silver findings, swarovski crystals
