How to mS150 Houston to Austin ride
"Overwhelmingly awesome, and easier than I expected."
How I did it: I started training semi-intensely in January, doing my first 40-mile ride at the end of the month, but overall I didn't do nearly as much as many folks did to prep. I did do a 70-mile ride, and it was great how hellacious it was, so it made the 100-mile and the 80-mile days seem easy by comparison.
Lessons & tips: Make sure you do hills. Cadence is the most important thing--never slow your pedaling!! Never!!! Always downshift when challenged. If you slow your pedaling you will die.
