How I did it: I was lucky in that matter though. I was already going to a German Highschool and I had the chance to study in Germany. Which I used. I applied for almost 9 universities after I was done with school and I got taken to all of them, other than one, where they needed me to show up personally for an exam, which I couldn't do.

I chose my university, looked for a room in a dormitory in the place, but couldn't find any. That was the worst part of the story, actually. Had found a flatmate with a flat herself, but we were only gonna get our apartment in December although I was in Hamburg as of 01.10.

So first week, I stayed at a friend of my cousin who is doing his Master in Hamburg too. By chance.

I found an apartment afterwards, furnished already, and lived there for 1,5 months till I moved in to my apartment now finally.

In terms of studying, it's a real experience that everyone should try out.

Have been studying abroad for already 7 months and it changed a whole lot in me, that's absolultey true.

Lessons & tips: Don't chose something that may get too much though, like you have to
learn a whole lot and talk a whole lot yourself, in case you are shy or
so. Cuz being shy makes it even harder to talk in front of 100 people in
a language that is not your mother tongue.

Make sure you save up money to see some more of the country you go to. I find it a pity that I couldn't go on a vacation ever since I arrived Germany, although, I have seen a whole lot from the country before I started studying there.

Try to be open a less shy cuz friends help really and you can only get them when you are a bit into talking etc.

Make sure you try out everything that is special to the country and if possible live with one of those guys who had been living there since birth. It really shows the insides of a culture, things you wouldn't knowi if you live alone and just be friends with the natives.
