I like this.
From myself who currently works at McDonalds (I’m working on leaving…) this is fantastic news. Even though I work there, I will never eat at McDonalds if I can help it.
Well done, it’s a fantastic achievement :)
How I did it: Before I stopped eating meat I just paid more attention to what I was putting into my body. The old phrase "You are what you eat" kinda freaked me out. So I concentrated on baby steps.
Lessons & tips: Actually read the nutritional information...it might scare you as much as it scared me!

I won’t lie and say I never drank or drink now…haha because well I’m from an Irish background and it’s in my very nature and culture.
But I try to at least have a general understanding of what I am putting in my body…and when I created this profile back in ‘07 I definitely didn’t pay attention at all. Most of the reason I was so unhealthy was the guy I was living with at the time who lived a completely unhealthy lifestyle.
So I feel like I have come a very long way. I started with cutting out fast foods and “easy” meals…and then moved to cutting highfructose corn syrup out and now I try not to eat anything processed.
It wasn’t always easy but I feel 100 times better than I used to. On top of all the healthy eating I also do women’s Roller Derby so I try to stay active…hopefully it will pay off!
PS I love the picture!!!!
