How I did it: A little girl at my job was choking on a hot dog. I turned to her noticed that she was struggling to breath and already starting to turn blue. My first reaction was to hit her on the back, which at the time was what I was told to do in my first aid training. Eventually It came up and she was able to breath again. Fortunately she's OK now and often jokes about the incident, however, at the time is was one of the single most terrifying moment of my life and most likely hers.

Lessons & tips: Saving a life isn't as exciting as you'd think it would be. I was scared for this poor kid before, during, and after the incident.
