How to create a scrapbook.
How I did it: I used books from the library and online scrapbooking sites for inspiration. I did some research on Ancestry.com and got photos from my parents. It was a worthwhile project and has jumpstarted my scrapbooking endeavors.
Lessons & tips: I used books and online sites to get inspiration and ideas. Also, you can find ready-made kits that make everything easy and coordinated. I also found some pages that just needed photos. You can add embellishments to make them more original. So simple!
Resources: I checked out books from the library (Encyclopedia of Scrapbooking was especially helpful) and visited the numerous scrapbooking sites online. Some of my favorites are Let's Scrap (http://letsscrap.ning.com/), scrapbook.com, Close to My Heart online idea book (http://www.closetomyheart.com/products/online_idea_book), Shabby Princess. Scrapbook Scrapbook has some free downloadable tag templates (http://www.scrapbookscrapbook.com/tags-templates.html).
