How to take photography class

Comments:

calypte ready for something new :)

What kind

of photography class would you take?

calypte ready for something new :)

I have no idea!

I don’t even know what the options would be – but I have another 2 years of IT exams, so plenty of time to think about it! Any recommendations?

I suppose

it would be what is offered in your area. The older photography with film can be costly. I would really like to learn that but I can not afford it. So I took a digital class, using my point and shoot camera. I liked the way it took pictures. I am looking at upgrading to a better camera now.

Been wanting to do this for years.

My only problem is I live in such a small town that I have to drive at least an hour or more to get to anywhere that would possibly have a photography class. REALLY small town. Good for you on completing your goal.

So much still to learn

the internet is a wonderful wealth of knowledge and people out there that are willing to help. A big part of photography that I have found out is that you need to practice, practice and oh yeah… practice. With digital camera it makes it a lot easier to delete the bad pictures. So go out and start snapping those pictures.
Look up photo composition to start out with… good luck and looking forward to seeing some of yours :)

Good advice.

My camera itself is still somewhat of a mystery to me. Seriously. It has so many settings. I need to take a few hours and go through all of the setting, better yet, go through the book. I think that would help out tremendously! Perhaps I should change my “take more pictures” goal to “get to know my camera”. I might just do that. Thanks!

I joined my local photo group

and one of the members preaches to read a page a day from your camera book so that you get to know what you are working with. Have both goals, plus a few more about taking pictures. I had completed a goal about taking pictures of 43 flowers and 43 doors. The door goal took me out of comfort zone, taking pictures of doors isn’t something I would say I would wake up in the morning and say hey I want a picture of a door. Oh and carry your camera with you more so you can catch those impromptu photos

Ahhh, yes

That’s funny. I have actually seen weird goals like that. I guess I didn’t think much of it because you see some strange ones on here. I guess I could try that. It is strange, but could be a bit challenging you know. My camera is in my purse at all times. I think I might start with trees, since I am obsessed with them. Then maybe doors. Thank you again for your help, you just may be my mentor!

Its all in interpretation

and the eye of the beholder to be “wierd” or not. Enjoy! If you have any questions, just let me know.

I guess I should have said "different"

You see some things and say “Whaaa?” But, same goes with love and art and life. Right?
