"It took almost 16 months but now I'm finally at goal!"
How I did it: I started on Weight Watchers last year and decided that if I couldn't eat the foods I loved, it wouldn't work. I had no desire to resort to diet foods or low fat/low carb/sugar free foods to get to my goal weight--even if it meant it might take a longer time.
I followed the plan as written and didn't make excuses any more
Lessons & tips: This is my 3rd go round on Weight Watchers and the first few times, I certainly wasn't ready. Using the Beck Diet Solution as well as the Law of Attraction helped me get to goal. I read lots of magazine articles, books, watched TV shows asked successful losers...anything I could do to educate myself about eating well, working out and getting to goal.
Resources: I checked out books from the library on losing weight, fitness or overall wellness. I also subscribe to Shape Magazine and get tons of inspiration from everyday people there.
I also listened to podcasts while working out so that I stayed motivated while I was exercising.
I really like the Jillian Michaels and Inside Out Weight Loss podcasts.
