How I did it: Tell myself that it doesn't matter what I look like and how others judge me, but it depends on me. It did take me a while, especially with acne. Do things that make you feel pretty - getting your nails done, haircut, and a variety of things.
I did shut myself from the world and I believe that it made me stronger, but also weaker. Stronger because I'm comfortable in my own skin, but weaker because I shut myself from the world. Just remember not to do it too long, because it will be hard to get back on your feet.
