How I did it: Finally got a couple of responses from a handful of sources. Had a lovely response here on 43T. Have a smattering from response on facebook. Know a couple of podcasters who listen. Musicians and authors we plug listen (at least to an episode or two).I guess I'll have to call that a win... Read how I did it…
How I did it: I've been on 43T for years, and recently realized I'd completed 99 goals. So it was all about watching the numbers and timing things right. This will be my 100th completed goal, and I'm cheering myself! Read how I did it…
How I did it: The husband and kids were out of town for the weekend, so I went to bet at 9:30 and slept until 9. Hopefully I won't start building up a deficit again. Read how I did it…
How I did it: Researched online, ordered the discount coupon, bought the box, bought the cables, hooked it up, found it didn't work, bought an adapter, hooked it up, found it still didn't work, couldn't find the manual, found the manual, read the manual, pushed the button. *whew* Read how I did it…
How I did it: Started off with the GP, lab tests, then a specialist, with lengthy tests and trials, then back to the GP for more tests, then a second specialist... Lots of lengthy trial and error stuff - if this med does something, then good, otherwise we try that... Fortunately, got the answer now because the next step would have been an invasive procedure. How I did it: I'm calling it 'done' because I've got the plot of the book down, all except the ending - it's definitely going to need a sequel, so I need to define an 'end' to the first part which is satisfying and still leaves the audience looking for more of the story... Also, I have the story plotted out, but will now go back and re-order the way I'm telling it - sections from different viewpoints rather than day 1, character 1, character 2 ch… Read how I did it…
How I did it: Not difficult at all. I answered the same medical history questions as I would if I were donating whole blood. They generally use two needles, one in each arm, but after my first donation they switched to single arm donation (I only have one good vein for donating). They provide a little squeezy ball and instructions on when to squeeze and when not to. You even get a DVD to watch on a mini player with headphones. Read how I did it…
How I did it: Just went through old gaming books, and found a number of the original pamphlets (Greyhawk, Blackmoor, Eldritch Wizardry...). His creation brought a lot of joy into my life, and it's good to remember that. Read how I did it…
How I did it: My oldest finally got motivated to clean things up at one go, rather than putting up with the 'dribs and drabs' way things had been progressing. I pitched in some, but she really did most of it. (Definitely earned her replacement cell-phone...) Read how I did it…
How I did it: Went to the web site, filled out the forms, sent my book to someone who asked for it, got one in return. Simple enough, but I'm not keeping up with it. Read how I did it…
How I did it: Finally, when the COBRA was about to expire and the insurance companies kept asking for one more thing before reaching a decision, I called my State Insurance Board. They told me about the Maryland Health Insurance Program (for those 'uninsurable' or who reached the end of COBRA without defaulting). Then there was some run-around from my present insurance company (had to file by October 31 to get it without 'lapse of coverage' and they… Read how I did it…
How I did it: Perseverance, luck, and friends moving back to town... I really didn't hunt the 'looking for players' boards enough, but that's always a bit of a 'pot luck'. It's worked well for me in the past, though. Read how I did it…
