How I did it: I failed the first time round shortly after my 16th birthday. I didn't quite understand Give Way but now I do. Also I rushed the exam and underestimated just how challenging it would be. Monday the 17th November, I went and got my Ls or Learners Permit. I took my time with the test since there isn't a time limit and triple checked my answers. I had a problem with one question and the woman didn't count it when she marked and I got all the… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I got really sad/angry and instead of finding food, I just called my boyfriend instead. He and I talked it all out and in two hours I was much much better. He was a little sad that he couldn't rush over and cuddle me to make it better but happy that I wasn't destructing my myself. My bestmate and I used to comfort eat alot, mostly together. Now I only eat when I am really quite hungry and I'm cutting down on snacks because I don't need th… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I had previously been with my bestmate so I knew where the photobooth was thanks to some lovely directions by another mate of mine. Now this photobooth is not like traditional ones, it is purikura or the Japanese/Korean sticker booths. So you get sticker photos and can decorate them etc. We paid first then jumped on in, kissed and took other ones. Decorated and walked out happy. Simple as that! Some of the booths including the one I used … Read how I did it…
How I did it: I started when I was four years old in Kindergarten and this evening graduated from grade 12 at the ripe old age of seventeen. Although time consuming, this is a relatively easy goal. One must simply attend school, listen to the teacher, complete homework and obey all the rules. Then at the end, you're released onto the world stage armed with knowledge (most of it pointless like math) and life lessons drummed into you by friends, family a… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I got given an alarm clock. I hate alarm clocks and have been known to barely sleep at all but hover my finger over the "off" button because I hated the noise. Now I'm used to it. The heart starts racing at the shock of the noise and sometimes I roll over and sleep but if I'm tired I hit the snooze button and grant myself 9 more minutes of sleep. Otherwise I just get up and start my day! I'm now ready before my sister and mother when befo… Read how I did it…
How I did it: My mum had gone to see it in the cinemas and she said she loved it. It came on sale and mum bought it. So I curled up in my room with my laptop at a hideous hour in the night and watched it. Bawled my eyes out, it's so sad and so beautiful. They now even have shirts for guys that say "Attention Ladies, I enjoyed the Notebook" so who knows but guys I know have seen it and bawled too. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I was lucky enough to do this through school. I've been learning Mandarin part time (ie. one lesson a week that graduated to three lessons a week) since grade 5. I'm in grade 12 now and just finished my last pieces of assessment for Chinese. The best thing you can do if you're not in the school environment is look around for people offering tuition services. Learning to write takes time but easily the most useful skills are speaking and li… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I actually found my perfect bra when I was about 13 but I hated it then because it wasn't "pretty". My tastes change and now I love it. It's quite boring and simple but it's the perfect thing for rushing about on the floor at work or for fooling around with mates or spending eight hours at school. You really do not want something that you feel like you have to keep adjusting. The brand? Berlei. I love them. I am not entirely sure what the… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I forced myself to do it and created rewards for when I worked hard on a particularly unattractive assignment. Trust me, it is a lot better when you have finished because then you have done the work required to pass exams! Read how I did it…
How I did it: I read self-help books, did quizzes, saw three different counselors, pestered friends and family for their ideas. It took a lot of brainstorming with pen and paper. I went to career expos and all sorts of things. It was quite a step, coming from always knowing what I wanted to do as a kid and having no idea as a teenager. However, I got through and you can too. I guess, just talk it out and take any sort of free career quiz, read any sort… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I identified the areas that were messy. For me that was my floor (I could hardly move anywhere), my chair (a massive pile of clothing) and my desk (the top was covered and I couldn't find anything I needed). Then I made sure my bed was made and started. I did my chair first because it was easy to put the clothes away. Then I did my floor which took a lot longer because I had to find the right places for things or throw them out. Finally, … Read how I did it…
How I did it: I did it mainly because I didn't want to download any more service packs for my computer just to get a new version of Internet Explorer {IE} so I could view deviantart. It was a snap to download and installed in less than 10 minutes flat! I imported all my files from IE, don't worry it prompts you for this so I could keep all my favourites and history as is. It was then a process of making sure all my programs would use Firefox instead of… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I bought and alarm clock and set it to go off at 6:30am every morning and forced myself to get out of bed. It helps if the alarm clock has a very annoying ring that jolts you awake - mine does. I didn't set a bedtime but I quickly realised through trial and error what time I need to go to sleep in order to be fully functional the next morning. For me this anywhere from 11 to 11:20. Anything past there and I'm down for the count the next day. Read how I did it…
