How I did it: I paid attention in class, studied about 1/2 hour each day after school, took notes, and did all the homework. This is a lot of what I normally do for pre-calc, so I think the difference was that I actually asked questions in class, and was lucky enough to quickly grasp the basic idea behind sine and cosine, so that I could quickly move on to more advanced concepts, such as arcsines and cosecants.
