learn to trust

i don’t know if i’ll ever be able to trust people. the only person i do trust is my ex-boyfriend, i’m not even sure why. everytime i try, im given countless reasons why the person is not worthy of my trust. recently, someone wanted to hang out with me but then pretended like they were sick to hang out with someone else. i dont know why but this really hurt, i got over it really quickly though. i guess the only way you can trust people is with the expectation of getting hurt. im starting to realize that no matter how trustworthy a person seems, they will at some time hurt you. then you either have to choose to forgive, or end the relationship.
