Got a job, but do I love it?

Still trying for medical school, but in the meantime got a job as a support worker for autistic people. I’m excited and a little terrified. Not idea if I’ll love it, but if not at least I get to save money for a house.

On the table theres also fostering, which I am doing right now, I do like it, but am not earning anywhere near enough to live on. That might change if I can strike out and do it on my own.

The other option is writing. I’m trying to write every day and hope to improve enough to sell my work. This is a serious hobby so far (which I do love), so if I start earning enough to live on maybe this goal will qualify as complete.

Will update once I have a few more definates.

Still unsure what this is going to be

Will it be in the military? police? with special needs? a psychologist of some kind? A academic?
I don’t know but I really wish I did. I did some experience in a special needs classroom and its so fun I love it, there are two boys with severe autism and I love working with them and getting into their heads to figuire out what might help them communicate their needs better. I was already very interested in autism as its a topic I’ve liked to read journals about for a good while.
But will working with these kids provide enough intelectual stimulation and fulfillment? Is there enough room to progress? Is the job worth taking a year out for a pgce and training to get into special needs. And is the need for special needs primary teachers enough to actually guarantee me a job afterwards?
And there are so many other options. Hopefully will pass recruitment to become a volunteer police officer which will provide a taste into another career choice but its so annoying. Its such a big decision but actually getting to try out a number of different career paths to see which fits best is easier said than done.
