Visit all the National Parks

Near Flagstaff and the Grand Canyon, we went to this National Monument with only a couple of hours to spend, and could have spent all day! Who knew? If I have to put all the NM on the list too, I’ll NEVER make it!

November visit to the Grand Canyon was cold! I hiked each day for 3 days and never took my long underwear off! But absolutely beautiful. It’s my new favorite place—only NP I’ve seen so far that could be as fascinating as Yosemite, which is limitless in it’s fascination.

Yea!! We’re going to the Grand Canyon next week. It’s been many years since I’ve been there, and I know I’ll be awed as soon as I step up to the rim.

Got to Zion and Bryce Canyon NPs this last week. Though I’ve been there before, it’s been years. So beautiful!! This is by the Virgin River close to the entrance to the Narrows—which were closed due to high water.

We went up Upper Yosemite Fall trail and it was a glorious day in May, 2010. BIG WATER this year.

It was raining off and on, but we had our rain gear with us. Beautiful there—lots of green and plenty of wildflowers.

I’m hoping—could be hard to do, but it would be marvelous. So far I’ve been to maybe about 15. I’m gonna make a list:

Looks like about 20 unless I remove the National Monument. Do they count? I’m surprised I’ve visited so many. But there isn’t one that I wouldn’t want to go back to and spend more time. Most of my NP time is spent in Yosemite since it’s only about 4 1/2 hours from here. Still, haven’t spent enough time there either!
