Instead of screaming, “That’s the stupidest thing I ever heard!!!” to my dear beloved as I would have done in our newlywed days, I get very quiet and take time to calm down and not say anything regrettable. After that, I’m able to revisit the issue and say what the problem really is and the reason it is a problem, from my perspective. Then I’m able to tell how I would appreciate us handling the issue in the future. And even if I do very occasionally blow it with an unclassy comment, I can come back and give a very classy apology. :)

I love to eat and talk at the same time! When my mouth is full, I usually have chipmunk cheeks. My family laugh at me, but I know it’s really rude.
And I spill all kinds of stuff, all the time. I have been jokingly called “Grace”, because I am NOT graceful at all.
I do dress up more than I used to, so that’s a plus. I also don’t curse—at least not in public where people can hear! lol
Another plus is that I always try to say “please” and “thank you” and also try not to take other people for granted.
Does anyone have any ideas for how to be “absurdly classy”?
