I tried to do my scorpion today and barely got a hold on my foot. Just a few months ago, I was handling my scorpion with perfect ease several times a day. The problem is that I have acquired some amount of fat on my body since then. This layer of fat is blocking me from my foot. It seems that losing weight (more so fat) is necessary in order to get my scorpion again. Some ppl would think that me not being able to do my scorpion would make me throw a week long tantrum, but frankly I expected something like this would happen. On the bright side, my straddle is coming along quite nicely. Just one more inch(literally) & I’m there.

I’ve begun to stretch again. I’m not as flexible as I use to be, but I’m sure I’ll be able to get there again in time. I can barely do my scorpion and that freaks me the hell out. I’m trying to decide on stretching every other day or every two days. But here are my goals:
- Scorpion
- Bow N Arrow
- Heel STretch
- Chin Chin
- Straddle
- Scale
tODay I danced at a church w/ the Dance Club. I almost forgot to stretch, but my friend reminded me. (Shout OUt: Thanx Natalie!) We were the only one that stretched and I think the other dancers were a bit impressed by our flexibility. I’ll consider this goal complete when I can do all these stretches:
- Scorpion
- Scale
- Left Bow N Arrow
- Right Heel STretch
- Chin Chin
- Complete Straddle
Stretch Thoroughly Every 2 Days
- that was my initial plan but without a serious attitude towards this I kinda slacked off. Therefore I haven’t stretched in like a 2 weeks!! I feel so tight….but I’ll definitely be stretching tomorrow cuz I have to dance tomorrow.
