So, 3 weeks ago I returned to Australia. After innumerable overnight buses, hiking up a dozen mountains >4000m high, humping a backpack across 7 countries and falling down the stairs 4 months previously, an attempt to lift and pull something caused a problem.
An inflamed L5 disk left me in excruciating pain and virtually immobile for a week. Visits to the chiro every second day, involving massage, accupuncture and very light adjustments got me to the stage of less pain and an ability to move a bit more.
I’ve started swimming as often as I can, but I’m a bit lazy.
So I’ve created this goal. At 26, there’s no reason I shouldn’t make a full recovery.
My chiro has given me a list of exercises.
At the moment, I plan to – do my exercises every day
– go to the pool at least 4 times a week
– stretch before going to bed every night
This is a different kind of goal for me, because if I don’t achieve it, I may not be able to achieve other goals that I’d previously dreamed of.
