clean my house

my grandma used to say that cleanliness is next to godliness…I feel so virtuous after all the cleaning I’ve done this morning.

Okay forgetting the fact that it was way overdue so I should really be ashamed of myself, my kitchen floor mopping got me on a roll…I ended up also cleaning both bathroom floors, the toilet floors, plus both toilets inside and out!

Sitting here smiling now with coffee in hand, and halo floating over my head.

About to mop the kitchen floor, one of my most hated jobs, but I am looking forward to it being clean afterwards. :D

Cleaning up with a greater sense of purpose now…as we going overseas in September, I HAVE to clean up before we go. Cleaned the top of a lightshade in my daughter’s room, which hangs from the ceiling…I am embarrassed by how filthy I let it get before I cleaned it! It actually looks quite nice now that we can see it again, instead of it being darkened by dust.

I cleaned lots today…the kitchen sink, the stove top and front, the bathroom sink and mirror, the computer area, vacuumed most of the house. Feel completely exhausted now.

I cleaned one of the toilets yesterday, a real deep clean…that always makes me feel like I deserve a medal. Yes I know I should clean them more often..I do use the brush and water most days to clean them superficially, but only do a really thorough clean with cleaning stuff, once a month!

The house is a shambles, after weeks of having sick husband and children at home. Have to mop the floors, but that will have to wait till the rain stops pouring…prefer to mop when it is sunny outside, so I will just sweep. I have been pretty good with cleaning the shower…using the squeegee after every shower, and spraying it each time with anti-mold spray (the non-toxic kind).

Must admit I don’t feel at all inspired to do any cleaning when it is cold and raining so much….makes me feel more like sitting down with a hot drink and doing nothing.

I don’t know what is wrong with me…it’s almost like a paralysis that strikes when I have to clean the house. I just feel weak and have to sit down. It’s partly because there is so much clutter, and I keep feeling that I have to deal with that first.
