I found a product line that I really like and have been using it religiously. Although i’m not washing my face in the mornings (other than the normal showering), I am doing a nightly cleanse and moisturizer. I can see a difference in the tone of my face.

My future mother-in-law got me some skin care for my bridal shower. I’m excited to get it and start using it!
Long-story-short, I have ahd terrible acne since I was in highschool. I have tried everything from Pro-active to Retinae, oral antibiotics, Clinic, etc… Nothing works. I recently stopped smoking (over 3 months now) and also quit drinking all soda. I was drinking close to 4 diets a day. Its been almost a month since I stopped drinking soda and in that time I have experienced a HUGE change in my skin. My acne is almost completely gone and my scars look like they are healing. It doesn’t look like the same skin. I’ve been eating tons of fruits and veggies and drinking more water. I highly recommend to everyone to look at your intake- what can you take away that will change you from the inside out?
I am getting married in less than two months. I have got to get my skin to glow. Here’s my plan:
Self Tanners with Moisturizer
Wash, tone, and moisturize my face twice daily
Use chapstick- do not let my lips peel
Exfoliate/use a skin rejuvinating mmask once a week
NO SODA & TONS OF WATER
Excersize!!
I’ve been washing my face twice a day now for 4 days. My face is really drying out (oddly enough). I think this is good though as I have an acne problem. I hope I can keep this up, I love the feeling of squeeky clean skin!
Last night I managed to wash my face before bed, tone, and moisturize. I also changed my bedsheets (which I hear is key to keeping clear skin). This morning I got up and washed my face, toned and moisturized. My skin feels SO good. I’m going to get serious about this goal!
I’m assuming that lips count as “skin” right? I have been trying to keep much better care of my lips. As of recently, my lips have been extremely dry and cracking. I can actually peel off dry layers and reveal the painful red skin underneath of the dry cracked upper section. I have been using a petroleum-based lip gloss in the mornings when I put on my makeup, blistex throughout the day and some all-natural Burt’s Bees lip gloss, and then medicated chapstick at night when I get home. My lips are still terribly dry. I have been drinking a signifigant amount of water as it is one of my goals, and i’ve also heard that dehydrateion can make your skin/lips dry. So far i’ve not found that anything allows my lips to hold moisture!
Does anyone know of any natural remedies for acne and acne-related scarring of the skin? I want to do something to help fix my skin problems, but something natural- and cheap!
Thoughts anyone?
I’ve been doing terrible at this goal. I need to start getting realistic about what I need to do to get my skin in better shape. These should be the best years of my life in regard to skin- I’ve been washing my face when I take a shower, but otherwise I don’t really do anything to take care of my skin. My acne has gotten way worse over the last couple of months. Does anyone have any “natural” acne cures?
