and I sounded awful! I know it’s normal to hate your own voice when it’s played back to you, but I’m pretty sure even beyond that, I wasn’t hitting the notes cleanly, and I couldn’t keep my voice steady, and the pronunciation of words were awful.

I love singing (I think even more than playing musical instruments), and have had quite a few people compliment me on my voice in the past, so I’m hoping that there is something there to work with. Maybe I’ve just picked up bad habits over the years. Maybe I’m not as relaxed and confident as I was before. But I’m going to start trying to work on it, see if I can make the best of what I do have.

Today I dug out this book that teaches singing, I’d bought it years ago but never used it because I couldn’t read music notation very well at the time. Will start working with it. Hope it will get better.
