“I Am the Messenger” by Markus Zusak. i really liked it. a 19-year-old taxi driver realizes he is going nowhere in life, when he one day comes home and finds an Ace of Diamonds in his mailbox, with 3 addresses on them. he decides to visit the places and deliver the “messages” that they need to know. (im so glad i finally finished this goal!!!!)

“Bound” by Donna Jo Napoli. its a Chinese version of Cinderella. i liked it, it was different than the books i usually read.
“Life of Pi” by Yann Martel. its about a boy who gets stuck in a life boat with a tiger, and has to domesticate it ro survive. eventually, he does, but lives in constant fear that the tiger will snap and attack him. throughout the book it discusses religion and his point of veiw on it. a good book, but it took me so long to read. i actually read 2 books inbetween before i finished this one.
“Twisted” by Laurie Halse Anderson. it was about a guy who is pressured by his father to be “a man”. and he is blamed for something he didn’t do during a party cause he is the town’s “badass” and in the end, he finally decides his father will not control him, and decides to fix the problems he has, and becomes “a man”.
“When It Happens” by Susane Colasanti. i dont know. some parts i liked about it and some parts i didnt. what i really liked about it was itd describe a scene in both of the main characters points of veiw, so u get a better undertanding of how they think when they are together.
“The Catcher in the Rye” by J. D. Salinger. I really didn’t like it. i mean it was good, but i found it to be really redundent and sort of weird. i can’t explain it, but i didn’t like it is much as i like other books we are assigned to read.
“After the wreck, I picked myself up, spread my wings, and flew away” by Joyce Carol Oates. I wish the relationship between Jenna, the main character, and Crow, the guy that saves her was described in more detail. but other than that, great book.
“The Five People You Meet In Heaven” by Mitch Albom. i love all his books and including this one. it was really awesome. i recommend it to every1.
“Devilish” by Maureen Johnson. it was awesome. i love Maureen Johnson’s books. it about this girl whose friend sells her soul to the devil. the ending was really awesome too.
“Cathy’s Book” by Sean Stewart and Jordan Weisman. I dunno, the ending wasn’t that good. it started out as a really suspenseful realistic fiction book, but the ending was like sci-fi, which sux, cause its kind of the easy way out, making the ending sci-fi. it was okay tho.
