He called me :) Mainly to thank me for his birthday present, but we actually had a bit of a chat! It rarely happens these days, and if so it always seems to be online, so it was lovely to hear his voice. I will make sure I make a real effort to spend time with him when we next have the chance.
Oh I loved that he called, can’t stop smiling now :D

We’ve been in touch a lot more in the last couple of weeks, he needs help with some writing and so immidiently thought of me :) Success! I miss him a lot; we don’t see eachother very often – which is mostly down to my life choices. I’m the one who has moved so damn far away. He keeps saying it’s so great of me to help him out; I am just so happy to be able to help out.
Then I sent him a little present. Nothing big or expensive, just something small I know he likes. He’s so busy right now, I thought he could do with some cheering up. He LOVED it. Absolutely loved it; it arrived on one of his most busy, stressed days and he got so happy he even called mum to tell her I am such a fantastic sister (his words!). Yes! I am so happy :D
He came to visit the other week and we had such a lovely time; we actually talked – properly talked. He’s wonderful, I just wish we were closer. And today I sent him a little surprise present with a note. I hope he likes it.
It’s difficult, we live in different countries and he’s not much for writing, phoning or even emailing. But, at least I’ve got his new address now so I can send him something…a card, a letter, maybe a little gift even! And we’ll both be home for christmas, so we can talk then :D
He’s working abroad, I study abroad…different countries and whenever one of us go ‘home’, the other one is not normally there…we barely ever see eachother these days.
Going to write him a little letter and send off today. Email and MSN is cool, but it’s not very personal is it? Time to get the pen and paper out…could even send him a little gift…hmm…
My brother and I barely see eachother anymore; just a few days a year. He works abroad and travels around, I study abroad. So whenever one of us come home to our parents the other one is not normally there. I’ll get to see him for ONE day over christmas anyway…better than nothing :) But I really need to get better with emailing, calling and texting him or I won’t have a clue what goes on in his life soon (apart from what mum tells me).
I’m so proud of him, he’s only 21 but he’s accomplished so much. And he’s such a great person. He really is one of my favourite people.
