So I got Ramit Sethi's book out of the library 6 months ago

Need to just sit down and read it. Like I need to just sit and read several books. Read it and study it.

At least took a crack at it... 8 months ago

By opening up Ramit Sethi’s book at the bookstore yesterday. Read some, took some notes. The main thing now is to figure out a budget, based on what I have tracked down of my expenses so far.

Trying, really trying. 8 months ago

To not spend as much as I used to. Umm…hard. I think I need to budget some. Haven’t figured out quite what to do with that.

Still spending money on junk food 9 months ago

Umph. I know better than to waste now. And all waste comes back to you—sort of a way the universe keep you on check for taking more than you need. I promised I wouldn’t do it anymore, and I am doing it again today. No more.

It's all about not indulging in the superflous all the time 10 months ago

In my case, read—taxis, chocolate, junk food, etc. Mastering this helps my goal of losing weight, not accumulating useless possesions, etc.

Of chocolate and other addictions... 11 months ago

aka: Spending!
I should have taken the hint in Rob Brezny’s 2009 Horoscope for Pisces that I need to really handle my relationship with money better…but today I blew (literally blew) about 15 dollars on chocolate! So unneccesary, considering I have gotten over my sugar addiction. I don’t care if it is the sugar-free kind or whatever—this is just reflex buying. So no more. I am not only cutting out this unneccesary spending, but also coming to grips with my spending habits.

Very little to budget at this time, but I will try to apply the concept of money as life-energy. That is, seeing the worth of purchases depending if they are worth the period of life working to get the money to buy it in the first place.
