Let’s just say I eliminated many things from my room when I left—so that the possessions I now have there and carry with me are all important. Nothing is junk. So this is over. Perhaps the only thing I have not done is burn my old journals, but all other purging is done. So off it goes.
AMGL has written 3 entries about this goal
Or at least, to identify when it is done. So, in order to qualify this as “done,” I will:
1. Remove the old trunk with winter clothes for my room
2. Give back all the books that don’t belong to me
3. Not keep any file or piece of paper on my desk
4. Burn my old journals
Once these three things are done, this item is off the list! My idea is to move away from home and not accumulate unnecessary belongings (in the form of books, paper, and the like)—specifically, to be able to take all the contents that I own in a suitcase and a book bag. So once I eliminate clutter in my current room, I am free.
This really is a ten minute a day goal…it’s not worth leaving it all for a day de-cluttering. This works when you just take a minute at the end of the day to de-clutter so you will have a nice de-cluttered space the next day.
I still want to do major de-cluttering outside my room, but that unfortunately is not entirely in my hands. Will do my best to help though!
