Relay

This weekend I will run as #2 in a 4 person relay. We each run 2.7 miles. Going to do it!

Looking back and forward

I did run 5 miles on Jan 31st. This marked a significant accomplishment with my running goals. Then the next morning my preg sickness began and I stopped running altogether.

This goal is on hold until after the baby arrives and I feel motivated to begin again. I miss running.

Still getting out there

andthere and it feels great. I still haven’t run 5 miles. I need to do that this month.

Going to pause on this,

(due to pregnancy), but am still running right now. Yesterday I ran 2 miles and today I ran 1 1/2 miles and walked a mile. Gotta keep active.

Remembering to record this

is tough. I am a bit out of the habit of the daily log-in on 43T. I can’t remember when I ran last week, but I know I did go for a run on Sunday for 2 miles. And then yesterday I did my weekly mile run with CP. Glorious to have a good friend with which to run. Love her!

Feels good

Today I intended to go for a walk and instead felt very light on my feet. I ran an easy gait for 3 miles in about 30 minutes. It felt great!

Not happening

This is my 3rd attempt at following a schedule. Isn’t working. Wed we went to Santa Cruz for the day. Long day trip. Thursday, I didn’t make running a priority. Friday too. Today, I ran, but didn’t like the track and then hit the streets and I felt very tired. Alas, I walked and felt like I had failed. Maybe that’s part of the issue. When I have a clearly defined plan, I don’t meet the requirements. It feels like pressure. On the otherhand, I have been consistenly running 3 times a week for weeks and that is much more than I ever have done. Time to shift my focus back on keeping the habit. If a marathon is going to happen, it’s not right now. That’s ok. I still love and miss J and will work through all this one way or the other.

T - 2.5

It felt like I had weights in my shoes. But, I ran the 2.5 miles in 22.44 minutes. At this point, the time is not my focus. Finishing my daily goal is my focus. But, I know myself… I will want to track the time also!

At some point, when I am ready, I want to write about Justin. I miss him tremendously.

Pre-training Schedule

Alas, I am getting to this goal. For the next 5 weeks, I am going to follow a basic pre-training schedule to get me ready for the training schedule. I have been running each week since October, with the intention of getting my body acclimated to running. At this point, the furthest distance I’ve run is 3.5 miles. So my long run on Sunday is going to be a HUGE accomplishment.

Week 8:
M – rest done
T – 2.5 done
W – 3
TH – 2
F – rest
S – 30 min walk
S – 5
