and I’m actively working toward it. I’ve got an amazing amount of projects to do this weekend for school. I made out a to-do list and it had 15 items. Two are now done. I am actually on-site now doing a little homework. I have to write a paper about my philosophy and biases that is due on Thursday. So, I thought I’d look over the stuff I published on my self-actualize goal for bullet points. And since I wrote the things I can just cut and paste from my entries to synthesize most of the paper.
If everything works out as planned, I will be able to have half of my courses completed by May of this year. That’s highly encouraging!
I hope that all of my 43T buddies are hard at work pursuing their goals. I’m sorry I don’t have more time right now to interact with each of you. I think of you often, though, and never forget how special you are to me.

and among them is our own Sherlock. I don’t know why I am so terrified of pursuing this goal. I’ve been out of school for 8 years, though, and the longer time ticks away, the more I wonder if I’m going to be able to do this or not.

I’ve got a vision for what needs to be done…and now a target date! I’m shooting for Fall 2009! I’m 99.9% sure I want to pursue the area of General Psychology, too. That way, I can explore the different areas to see what I want to get my doctorate in.

I did quite a bit of research into different potential areas of interest. I went to a university I’m interested in attending (really the only one I’m interested in attending) and interviewed some professors and a current student. I was also able to obtain some resources to do further research about the areas. After yesterday’s meetings, I’m leaning toward doing a master’s program again. (There are several reasons why.) I also asked about volunteer research opportunities and they appear to be available. I’m encouraged and more focused about this. I’ll be meeting with the particular professor that’s in charge of the master’s degree I’m interested in, in a couple of weeks, too. It was a very productive afternoon. I’m encouarged by it and more focused on this goal after having done it.

leads in researching this goal a little farther today in an e-mail from a wonderful friend!
I need to do the following this weekend as a result:
- Reply to e-mail with information desired.
- Create/send e-mails to get some meetings set up.
- Come up with a list of intelligent questions to ask the different people I hopefully will meet with as a result of the above e-mails.

I won’t get to do this until I’m out of debt. But, that’s not looking so very scary any more. However, there have been efforts by some for me to pursue a doctoral program instead of getting a masters and having to repeat some classes. I’m thinking about that possibility.
