I have really done this... 3 years ago

and I can tell anyone the key to accomplishing this goal is fruit, yogurt, and sweet potatoes.



Tonight was torturous... 3 years ago

because I was around a lot of stuff I had to avoid for the sake of this goal! The worst thing I had to avoid was some coconut dessert bars that were homemade. I’m proud of being able to resist, though. :)

I’ve got 3 partial bags of candy in my car that I bought for the kids tonight for their Halloween present. I’m keeping it in the car, too…I can be responsible, but there is a definite bad choice when it comes to keeping candy in my place or office. I can only be tempted so much. I’m proud of my efforts with this. Oh, I resisted cake at work, too. :)

I still want sweets, though, I won’t lie. I really cannot wait until I get to have them again…whenever that may be.

with resisting two tablefuls of desserts! I didn’t even get any of the mixed fruit because it looked like it had added sugar. Flash is my hero for allowing me to do this goal with her. I do feel a little more confident that I’ll be good and not eat sweets after this month is over, too. (Which is why I wanted to do it in the first place.)

is being made. I’m so glad that I’m doing this goal, too. It makes resisting sweets so easy! I was at the Chinese buffet last night, and didn’t eat any sweets…unless a fortune cookie is considered sweets. I ate the fresh fruit. I’m excited. How’re you doing, Flash?

I was able to successfully resist candy, the dessert menu at lunch, and Subway cookies.

Yea, me!!!

Saturday will be a test of this, though…I’ve got a church get-together which will probably have a whole tableful or more of desserts.



I've missed my month-long goals... 3 years ago

and now I have a new one! :) Friday, November 3, will be the day of completion for this goal. Although, I’m not going to be eating any anytime soon, because I’m supposed to accomplish an off-line exercise goal before I eat them again. I am so thankful that I’ve got a good teammate to do this with, because it’ll be easier not to cheat with this goal. Thanks, Flash, for allowing me to do this with you. :D

I didn’t have any temptations today except for the wintergreen mints on my coworker’s desk, which I pretty easily talked myself out of wanting. I’ve got a question, though: Is gum considered sweets?
