I made a small donation to a local literacy project today.

for a client with something I really didn’t have to do, but wanted her to have an opportunity she otherwise wouldn’t have had.

I gave some of my neighbors some soft drinks I had bought for myself. Since being very sick earlier in the week, I don’t like them any more, so they don’t go to waste now. :)

there was this older man who was struggling to get his cart turned around, so I helped him out.

there was a colleague that appeared stressed out so I volunteered to handle one of her responsibilities. It cost me in getting my stuff completed for the day and one hour or so of overtime to get my stuff done. I know that it was something that I could have not volunteered for, but it made the day go by quick, so that was a positive.

there was this lady who’d bought some stuff and couldn’t handle it all. I’d only bought a small amount, and I offered to carry it to her car for her. She accepted my offer and was very, very thankful. This has to be one of the purest examples of this goal, and it was a cool thing to me and her! :D

a client needed today. (Let’s just say that I had to sacrifice my own money to get it accomplished.)

I was waiting for someone to see the doctor today, and someone else was with someone to see the doctor today. She was highly upset about the very long wait, and we’d been talking for a while. She asked if we could go to lunch, so we did. I normally don’t go anywhere with people I just meet, so this was something out of my comfort zone.

there was this man that had his arms full of groceries. I had a cart, so I offered for him to go ahead of me, but he declined my offer. I guess I really am starting to try to do this more often now. I’ve only got a few more to go until this goal is complete. :)

I saw a man who was having trouble getting his drink out of the machine, and I offered to get it out for him. I think it made his day a little better even though he managed to get it out on his own.
