I’ve recently been exploring sewing as an art more than design. I have taken to making tiny tote bags, only about 2 inches by one inch by one inch. Maybe a little larger. They are normally fully lined and have small detailing on them. They are a lot of fun to make and make great little gifts! I’m thinking about making them in mass and creating large sculptures from them. It sounds silly, but the possibilities are endless with shapes and colors. Also it works out nicely to get rid of any little scraps I have lying around.
Recently, I have also finished a larger purse. About clutch-sized that I need a strap for. It looks quite clean and professional, which is suprising since I eyeballed the whole thing! Yay me!
So, long story short, I am making things happen with sewing. Slowly but surely.

I’ve come to a point where I have lost a lot of motivation with sewing. I still design quite frequently, but one of the primary functions needed to design is to exicute your designs. I hope this dark cloud lifts. Especially since I’ve discovered that I can make handbags with ease! I’ve made a few. One for myself and one for a friend of mine for her birthday. She loved it! Yet there me sewing machine sits, alone and gathering dust…
