I am actually rather impressed by the posts now, people are still stuck on what vampires are not and seem to never address what a vampire may be thou, but all and all good points made and no offense meant to funky as I agree with the intention of your post, but how come everyone believes immortality means one will stop developing?

Immortality is not a matter of preservation, but regeneration.
We never stop aging and it is only when it slows down do we grow old and die, take notice of all historical references of immortality from the fountain of youth to the elixer of life, it mentions one shall be of the age of 30 forever, why?
Because this is basically when one becomes complete, balanced, stable.
If we simply frozen in time, friction and natural wear and tear would make us bald and skinless in no time.

All that being said I am just passing thru again to see if I can grab some assistants, I am always in the need of some reliable help.

Well I bring this all up because Bllova is trying to paint Akasha as my devotee and it is not true, I disagree with his interest in these groups of wannabe vampires and PSI Vampires, it is just stupid concept I will not even try to disprove, as anyone who would humour the notion is beyond help.

However as I said before and he agrees, strict practices can produce these results, you have seen monks, yogis, Ninjas, etc.. with training superhuman things are possible and when it is only possible to become such, after convincing someone to show you how and extensive training you can see why it is not common knowledge, which explains the great vampire mystery.

Thou by birth is also possible, you have probably seen the 8-legged children, giants, dwarfs and other oddities and there is a host of genetic diseases that have very strange effects.
Obviously this is possible, even stranger things then vampires have existed.
But it is very rare, I mean how many women do you think are willing to birth a monster?
Really, show of hands? You will see it is not common.

As for changing it is impossible, if it was how?
A virus is the only way that makes sense.
However take AIDs billions have been spent trying to confine it and it is still know world wide,
people don’t need sex, but a “vampire” would need blood, so the concept of something,
potientally infecting people on a daily for thousands of years, but still being unheard of,
clearly loses all logical basis.
And magic does not exist.

I never said I am a different species, if so why would numbers matter to me? Secondly why wouldn’t they just breed instead?

Nor did I say it was a burden on me, I said I disagree with the morality of it, very few people deserve to live longer, most don’t deserve they time they have, extending it so they continue to be useless makes no sense, the people here feel like misfits, there lives are uneventful, that is what they are seeking to correct, they don’t need vampirism, just literally to get a life.

We are completely different, I have no desire to be this sites new vampire deity, I made it clear from the start I do not want anyone worshipping me and have complained about anyone who has tried, I am not her to help the vast majority, only those very few people that interest me.

Why don’t you people instead try to discuss historical leads, proposed methods, debate amongst yourselves the philosphy why vampirism is appealing and what you “really” seek to gain, etc..

How can this be a vampire, as this difference in life span is common amongst humans.
Do vampires have special powers?: True and False
Being a vampire does not give one magical powers, extra strength, etc.. however those who know the method to become a vampire often know a few secret practices, that seem magical.
Do vampires have fangs, wings, etc…?: False
A complex issue that requires a long explanation, but generally no.
Are vampires immortal?: True
If a Vampire is careful and follows every rule exactly, the potiental to live forever is possible, however few ever manage to live even a normal life span, I have never heard of a case over 200, they also say most tire of life by this time, but there are so many rules that can be broken, often resulting in death.
Do vampires drink blood?: True
They do not need to, but they often do or worse.
Can vampires eat food?: True
But they shouldn’t there is many dietary restrictions for a proper vampire.
Are there covens?: True
But there are not large organized groups as one would assume, a proper chain of command is often impossible to maintain.
Can vampires turn others?: False
Only the person themself can become a vampire, but the information on how is only available from those who have done so themselves.
Does sunlight hurt vampires?: False
Very few traditional stories mention, it is a modern myth.
Does silver hurt vampires?: True
it is not lethal, but upsetting to vampires health and wise to be avoided.
Does garlic hurt vampires?: False
No it is just a common religous belief that spiritual creatures hate garlic.
Where do vampires come from?
It is the result of old religous practices that have all but become abandoned these days.
How come this religon is not common knowledge?
Because one of the rules is till kill anyone that sees the practices or tools of the religion, one is also supposed to kill those of other religons as well as destroy churches, the reason for the rumor of hatred of the cross, etc…
How does one become a vampire?
First you will have to find someone who knows how to, this is the hardest part obviously.
Then you will have to give him a reason.
Like what reason?
Often it is personal, people get lonely and seek someone to share such a life with, so the concept of lovesick vampires is common, but dangerous as love is forbidden.
Often the only safe way is when they need a skill unique to you, they want to use you or your ability and see it useful to them to give you equal power.
There could be other reasons, it is obviously on a individual basis.
But how does one become a vampire?
No bites, no virus, no pacts, etc…
Actually it is a result of severe dedication to a set of religous practices, in many ways similar to Taoist immortality, but alot faster and more practical, as well as the idealogy is much different.
What are these practices?
That would take pages to write and explain.
In short, a special diet, sacrifices and strange rituals, strict following of certain rules, etc…
Can Females be vampires?: Yes
But female vampires are very rare, 2 out of 9 are female from my experience.
How do you know?
Because for a period of 6 years I was engaged in such a group.

I have no interest or desire to, why would I?

Because alot of people do not want to be vampires, as much as they want a purpose and a place to belong, they make loyal, cheap employees and are often the only ones that can handle the strange working conditions and my eccentrices.

No, I am not a big company owner, but I run a small out of home business.
