The closing of one day and foundation for the next — 2 years ago
Thinking about rituals. . .they are like the parents of new habits that encapsulate your objectives. That’s the way I see them anyway.
The objectives inherent to my new bedtime ritual will be:
• Utilize my time my more effectively
• Setting the foundation for achieving all my goals
• Wake up earlier (now on the scrap pile)
• Get fit
• Make new friends
Currently this is the time of day I’m at my worst and least productive. Basically this is my me time the time I have the most independence and the least responsibilities. So what I am doing now is being independently irresponsible.
My objective is a 180 degree turn in the use of this time. Some of the things I am thinking of adding to this new ritual.
• A lite snack
• Stretching
• Adding entries to “My People” folder
• Adding updates to 43T
• Deciding what needs to be done the next day
• Preparing the small logistics for the next day. Like: gym clothes, towel, water bottle.
• Getting my self in a place where sleep comes easily.
• Shower
• Brush and floss.
I will ponder this for a while and see if there is anything else that needs to be added or if some of these things would be better suited to some other time of the day.
