Well, like a lot of things that I plan to do, I have not completed this project. The mural will feature various historical landmarks in the town where we live. Our town is over 350 years old, and my husband’s family has lived here even before it was incorporated, so we’ll have no lack of subject matter to include. I have been collecting images from old postcards of various landmarks, and have identified several antique homes where the ancestors lived, so I guess that’s a start. I have decided to paint the mural in primitive/folk art style- my daughter is an art student, but I don’t have much talent in that regard. She can help with scale, proportion, etc, and where I flub up, well, that’s just part of the charm….
Next on the list is preparing the walls for priming and painting, and we’ll go from there.
