make a corset

So I bought the cording and eyelets. I can’t seem to be able to find grommets… Oh well. Hope this works

I’ve been wanting to do this for a VERY long time… Years, actually. So this year, I decided to make a corset to use on Halloween. This should push me hard enough in the right direction, I think =] I’ve started a mock up already, cut the pieces, sewn them together. I’m going to skip boning on this one, and instead make flat felled seams. All I need is to set the grommets and lace it up…Hopefully, then I’ll be able to see what needs to be altered. I would fit it onto my dressform, but I’ve gained about 4 inches on my hips…

Busks. They are nonexistent in the local craft stores, which means that I’ll probably have to bribe my dad into buying a pair for me off of the internet…

woot I just bought a corset pattern by simplicity and I finally found a craft store that sells bones!
