We'll see if its true.  — 3 months ago

So reluctantly I started believing that is very difficult to gain muscle and lose fat at the same time.
So as some people reccomended I started a cut down phase where I’m planning to lose 2 to 3% of Total Body fat and then I’ll start a bulk up phase again to increase 5 pounds of muscle.

We’ll see if it works, hopefully I just lose fat and not muscle during the cut down phase.

Mixed results  — 9 months ago

Well after the measurements it turns out that I gained some weight but kept the same body fat percentage, which I guess is OK. I gain muscle and kept the same ratio of fat (but I gained some fat overall).
I’ll probably keep trying to bulk up a few more pounds and then I’ll try to cut the fat at a different phase next year.

Is is worth it ?  — 9 months ago

I’m starting to feel doubtful about this. I’ve been working out for over a year now, and even though sometimes I feel like I’m having progress, sometimes It just seems like I look the same.
I’m getting some measurements this week , we’ll see how it goes…

Maybe gaining weight  — 10 months ago

So I’ve been eating more and I may be getting some weight which hopefully is muscle.
However I’ve been drinking and smoking again so I probably hurt my potential gains… :(

Set for results  — 10 months ago

So I had my first training session yesterday. I analized my calorie intake, and set a goal of increasing at least 5 pounds by December 31. I need to eat more , that is for sure, hopefully extra calories turn into muscle and not fat…

Got a trainer  — 10 months ago

So at my gym they talk me into getting some training sessions. I hope it helps. The guy seems sure to get some results but he wanted to train twice a week, and I wanted to strech out the sessions so it’ll be once a week with the rest of the week training on my own.

Hopefully this works.

Compliments help  — 11 months ago

Well , even though I still see the same weight on the scale, I got several compliments this weekend, which validates my work.
I do see some definition on the mirror so I guess I’m on the right track.
I just need to focus on resting more at night , drink less, quit smoking and keep working out.

Working out but no progress  — 11 months ago

I’ve been working out for about a year. At the beggining I saw some improvement where I lost some body fat and I got some muscle definition. But lately I got to a plateau where I just feel like I’m mantaining what I have but not getting any new gains.
Things I know I need to work on:
Change my workout every so often
Eat more ( I get confused here because even though I feel I eat pretty healthy , sometimes I’m afraid that everything is just becoming fat)
Rest more
Drink less alcohol
