I was supposed to not drink at least once during the weekend but I didnt really try.
I’m going to give this goal a try again



Really bad weekend 2 years ago

So this weekend I went camping , and I drunk like there was no tomorrow. I didnt pass out or anything though and at least I wasnt driving but still … :(



Not good enough. 2 years ago

So I havent drunk to intoxication, but I’ve been drinking a little bit more than what I’d like to. The worst part is that as long as I keep drinking it seems I wont be able to stop smoking. I need the motivation again… :(



Not a good weekend 2 years ago

Its kind of sad. After all the progress that I’ve made this month almost all my goals were hampered this weekend. I ended up smoking again, having more drinks than what I had planned, didnt get as much sleep as I should have and hanged out way to much with my crush.

The worst part is that I kind of enjoyed it , I should feel more guilty :(



Under Control ? 2 years ago

So its been almost a month since I started with this goal and it seems to be working. Today will be the first time that I’m willingly allowing myself to have two or three drinks ahead of time. The test is that I dont want to have more than that for the rest of the weekend.

We’ll see how it goes…



Mixed results week 2 years ago

I ended up having a few drinks last week but still under control. 2 beers monday with dinner , 1 cocktail on tuesday at a birthday celeb, 1 wine on wed with dinner, survived friday with no drinks, 1 beer with dinner and 2 glasses of champagne at a play on saturday and 2 beers on sunday.

Still under my goal of no more than 3 drinks in a given day, but a little bit high for the weekly goal of no more than 7.



On target 2 years ago

I wasnt sure if I wanted to keep a zero alcohol target or just start doing moderately but pretty much I stayed dry the whole weekend. I had a beer at one point but I think I could have gone without it.
I realized that I also need to stay away from red bulls, I get headaches if I do more than two in a night.
My friend was also not drinking on saturday . There was a point that I got kind of bored but I wasnt sure if it was the place or the fact that we were not drinking.



I did it 2 years ago

I feel good. I was able to go an entire week without one alcoholic drink , I even went out every night during the weekend and didnt even taste a sip.
The funny thing was that on friday I was only drinking red bull all night , but the next morning I felt even worse that if I had been drinking alcohol… I wonder why.
Also, as I wasnt drinking I didnt feel the urge to smoke.
It was interesting to see that people notice that you are not drinking. I tried to have my red bull on a glass with ice so people would think it was some kind of alcoholic drink but it didnt fool too many people. It was also interesting to see the transformation of the people around me from completely sober thru the various stages of drunkness.
My plan was to do this for just one week and then start drinking moderately but I’m thinking of extending it another week. We’ll see



Hope to survive the weekend... 2 years ago

So far it’s been easy on my week of no drinking, I had dinner last night and was tempted to have a little beer but it was not too difficult to choose water instead.
But the weekend is here and I’m sure I wont want to stay in , so hopefully I’ll be able to just pick red bulls and waters at the club. If I can go thru the weekend without one drink then I’ll know I have control and then I can switch to the drinking moderately phase in the upcoming weeks.



Too many red flags 2 years ago

I’m just starting to realize that a lot of the problems that I have had in the last year in one way or another have to do with alcohol.
But yesterday’s red flag is to big to ignore when a friend of mine had to be taken to the hospital for alcohol poisoning.

First of all I want to make sure that I have control over when and how much do I consume. So I’m going one full week without alcohol to make sure that I still have control.
After that I’ll probably try to drink a max of two drinks during the weekend and one drink over 1 dinner during the week.

This also probably will help me quit smoking because I only smoke when I drink.
