Get a dog when I'm older

I’ve never had a pet, but when I’m older and living on my own/with significant other, I’d love to get one. A small dog, preferably. I love yorkies. And I’d get a female dog and name her “Cohen” after Seth Cohen, lol. Yes, I’m obsessed. I’d name her Captain Oats, but that’s too boyish isn’t it? Perhaps “Captainess Oats” and “Oats” for short? Heh.
