do more for the environment

I now make a bi-monthly donation to an environmental group. I try to pick a different one every time. Found this great site: CharityNavigator.org, which helps me choose well run charities (ones that spend more money on their cause and less on administration and fundraising). Very helpful. My last donation went to the 5-star recommended “American Bird Conservancy”. Definitely made me feel good.

Last night, I dreamt that I was trying to cross the street in Manhattan, and running to beat a blinking light. An eighteen wheeler was barrelling towards me, and as I tried to clear it, it got wider and wider. I finally ducked past it, and when I turned around, I realized that it was carrying a gigantic oil derrick. Then I woke up. I need to unplug all the appliances in my apartment that are not currently in use, and send some money to the WWF. What else?
