remodel my kitchen

I went to a seemingly great kitchen remodeling place this weekend. They had a few things (cabinets, counter, backsplash) that I really liked. I made an appointment for them to come out to my house and check out or situation and hopefully put together some numbers. I feel like I have finally made a real step towards accomplishing this goal.

My mom and I just made plans to go shopping for tile and counter-tops (she is also going to update her kitchen). Hopefully if I make a few key decisions I will continue the momentum on the other big things (cabinets and appliances).

I need to get moving on this. Our kitchen is crummy (early 90s builders grade materials) but I just can’t seem to get moving.
I am anxious about spending so much money.
I am worried I might make bad choices.
I am reluctant to disrupt our lives by this major renovation.
