Get out more

I will watch more films, I’ve already started. Today I’m going to watch one. By myself, yes.
Tomorrow I’m visiting a friend. I will have friends now.

By myself.
Because I will not wait. I will do what feels nice to me. I’ve got to find what that is, as I haven’t been doing that for years and years.
The film was nice, by the way. I minded being there alone only moderately.

So go watch and listen. No excuses. You’ll thank me. Well, silently, in your heart, you will, anyway.

Yesterday we had a party at the farm in which they both learn (therapeutic) horseback riding. It went with a sort of a “test”, where they recieve feedback for their riding (not in a stressfull way) and there was a cake contest. There were prises for the best tasting cake, the most pretty, the most original, and the healthiest. We aimed at the healthiest (because I can’t compete at taste and even less at beauty) and won.
Today we went to the vocal music festival, and heard two great concerts.

He knew I’d be alone at home today, and he asked me to join him for lunch. A fun mini-date! (And I said bad things about him. Shame on me).

I was actually able to go, because the kids were not at home. I went… I hardly knew anybody, and the peopele I did know, I finished what I ahd to talk to them about within three minutes, and spent 27 more minutes thinking is there was any point at all in being there, and then went home sad. This is never going to change, is it?

It was lovely.

and I’m going with the kids to see one play and two concerts. The play – I don’t usually go with them to plays for children, as I don’t enjoy them myself. This one is supposed to be nice for adults, too, and I’ve been wanting to see it for a while. The concerts – again the Abu-Gosh festival, vocal music in churches, I’m looking for concerts that are comprised of short pieces, such as songs. We’ll see two ensembles, in one of them someone we know, who used to give my son piano lessons. In this concert he’ll be playing a cemballo, and also singing.

The one I have stood me up again. But they’re so hard to find! 8(
