clean out my car

O, and bought a new one, too.

Yes… true… I got my car cleaned!
Amazes me every time, how I dread something so much, and can’t even explain why; and then I simply force myself to get up and do it, and it’s always so much easier than I thought! (well, usually).
So now I need to take it to the garage for a (belated of course) periodic treatment, and I need to set a schedule for having it cleaned.
I’m proud of myself. I know it’s nonsense, I know it. I can’t explain to other people how hard these things are for me. And that’s what makes it so hard: one is expected to be nervous when going to the dentist. But when going to the car wash… I have to pretend I’m not nervous.
(Whether the people talked behind my back about how dirty my car was or not, I don’t know and I don’t care. They probably did).

I really, really want to take it to the car wash this week. I’m not making promises because I’m afraid to disapoint myself. But really. Thursday.

Tomorrow I’ll go back to it, fifteen minutes at a time.

I vacuumed for fifteen more minutes. It’s slowly getting to the point when I can call it “dirty”.

I tried my new vacuum cleaner and it worked fine. I took out things that wer thrown around in the car, and I vacuumed the driver’s seat and under the carpet. I’m doing it fifteen minutes at a time.
And now I’m sad and lonely, and Nitsan has asked me out with her and her husband, and I want to go. And my house is also not clean.

I haven’t taken it to be cleaned for… I don’t know how long. At least two years. It’s at the point where I’m embarassed to take it, it’s so dirty on the inside. And soon I have to take it to the garage for the 15000k treatment, and I’m so embarassed. So I decided to do it myself. I bought a car vacuum cleaner… then the summer vacation began on me…
I’m definitely doing it. I’m doing it… Thursday. That’s tomorrow. Or Friday at the latest. I’m getting everything OUT, I’m getting the carpets out, I’m vacuuming the whole thing, I’m dusting and I’m cleaning the windows, I’m washing the carpets, I’m washing the outside. I’m doing it. Yes.
Then I’m going to get it washed monthly.
